When Left Bank, 117 Perry Street, decided to commemorate last year’s Sandy blackout with a repeat performance, October 30th through November 2nd,,of four evenings of candlelit dining, they pledged to donate 10% of the earnings to City Harvest, for those who had been less fortunate. As an added reminder of 2012, they mounted a display of photos taken the night of the storm by Keith Michaels (WestView NewsBirdwatching columnist), seated far left, and of the aftermath by Maggie Berkvist (WVN photographer), which will continue to be on display until mid-December. Involving happy reunions for many of last year’s ‘survivors,’ the event’s othergratifying resultwas the $2000 it raised for City Harvest.
