The new spring/summer schedule for New York Water Taxi again includes a stop at pier 45, the Christopher St. pier on the south side). The five stops, which can be taken at any point, in either direction ,are as follows:

Pier 84, West 44th Street

Christopher Street, Pier 45

Battery Park, Slip 6 (the 9/11 memorial)

Pier 17, South Street Seaport

Fulton Ferry Landing, DUMBO, Brooklyn

The yellow & black & white checkered catamarans are double decked, suited for both transportation and recreation. At Christopher Street, boats arrive every 45 minutes from 10:20 am to 5:50 pm daily. An all day pass costs $26 for adults and $16 for children 3-12 years. The complete loop takes 90 minutes, but you can get on and off as many times as you like at any of the stops; there is also a bar and concession stand. Bring your bike or buy a pass which includes an 8-hour bike rental.

Travis Noyes, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing of New York Water Taxi and Circle Line Downtown, explained in an interview that Christopher Street was omitted from the schedule last year because of concern that it would be too tight to accommodate expected visitors taking the taxi to the World trade Center site on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.
