You, and only you, reading these words, can have and give to others a 120-year-old marble-clad Gothic hall in which to hear the great music of the past and allow others to hear it for the next century or more…

You can do that by attending the first concert at the Church of St. Veronica at 149 Christopher Street on Saturday, November 25th at 7:30 p.m. With your attendance, you will be letting Cardinal Timothy Dolan know that you want MUSIC AT ST. VERONICA’S.

“MY ENTHUSIASTIC SUPPORT”: Father Santiago Rubio has given his “enthusiastic support” to opening the doors of St. Veronica’s and turning it into a concert hall. Success depends on the attendance at the Saturday, November 25th and Christmas concerts. Photo triptych by Joel Gordon.

Father Santiago Rubio has graciously offered his enthusiastic endorsement and has opened the very recently locked church doors. He is allowing us to demonstrate, through the size and enthusiasm of attendance at our first concert, that the West Village and, indeed, all of the adjacent neighborhoods want, and will support and fund a permanent concert hall for classical music.
