Dear Mr. Benson:
I am writing in response to your e-mail dated July 26, 2017 regarding handbills posted in the vicinity of the West Village, Manhattan.
On August 8th and August 10th various members of the Department of Sanitation’s Enforcement Division inspected the area outlined in your complaint and sighted a total of eighteen handbills stating “Perfection USA Apartment 646-407-4281” which were affixed to public property. Upon further investigation, a warning letter will be sent to the responsible party. The letter will explain to the respondent the City’s posting law. Then, after a 2-week period, a re-inspection of the location will be done and if the signage with the same information is observed, a summons for each illegal posting violation will be issued to the respondent.
Department of Sanitation Enforcement personnel will continue to monitor the areas for illegal postings and appropriate enforcement action will be taken if violations are observed.
