Dear Mr. Capsis,
Just a personal note of thanks to you. When we lived in the West Village I used to enjoy reading your newspaper, and when visiting there recently I picked up a copy of WestView and was reminded what an addition it is in general, and to the neighborhood—your wonderful piece on our neighbor, Israel Horovitz—the heart-wrenching letter from Ralph Godfrey (I, too, was born in St. Vincent’s) about his mother and her struggles with her delightful Christopher Street restaurant, Lima’s Taste. The battles never end.
My heart is still in the Village; I’m still pursuing my dream of re-lighting the Jefferson Market Library. Thank you very much and best of luck. I think I need to subscribe.
