In the November issue of Westview News, my coverage of Dames at Sea contained two print mistakes I would like to correct. Following the original Dames at Sea off-off Broadway production at the Caffe Cino coffee house theater on Cornelia Street there was an equity off-Broadway production—not off-off—at the Bowery Lane Theater in which Bernadette Peters also starred.

Also the Dames at Sea director Robert Dahdah’s subsequent production, a musical entitled Curley McDimple with Miss Peters as well, was off, not off-off Broadway. The current hit Broadway production of Dames at Sea is of course a milestone—from the Village to the Great White Way. Bernadette Peters was recently honored for her part in all this by the Drama League.

Sincerely, Robert Heide
