To the editor:

I was amused when I read the story about Bruce Camacho paying for the new Planter Construction in front of the 6th precinct.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t add a couple of extra facts.

Pedestrians who use the sidewalk (north-side) on 10th Street between Hudson and Bleecker Street have, for years, had to squeeze by cars frequently parked directly on the sidewalk in front of a driveway. These cars are left there sometimes for hours.

In my two decades living next door, I have yet to see a parking ticket attached to those cars.

Is it coincidence or sheer luck that the owner of the driveway at 247 W 10th Street, Bruce Camacho, has paid for the new planter construction in front of the 6th Precinct?

Interestingly, some upgrading has been done by attaching two more shields (one for each fence) reading: “The Camacho Family.”
