1884 The busy intersection of Broadway and East 10th Street in 1884. Chester Alan Arthur was the 21st President of the United States from 1881-85 and Franklin Edson was the 85th Mayor of New York City from 1883-84. The Victorian Gothic-Revival style St. Paul the Apostle Church on Columbus Avenue was completed in 1884, as was the Madison Avenue Bridge and The Dakota Residential building.
