Lynne Stewart is a true martyr for our time. None other than Ramsey Clark, our famous attorney general who marched by hand the first black children into newly integrated schools, spoke about her integrity, and, above all, her absolute innocence of the crimes with which she was charged and for which she has been persecuted ever since. It was her birthday in October and she received birthday greetings in prison from all around the world, including Bishop Tutu.
