Katherine Anne (Kathy) Jacobson, 79, died of cancer on March 4, 2013 in New York City. Born August 5, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, she worked as a physical therapist in New York City for many years, including St. Vincent’s Hospital. Kathy was a political activist and was one of the most dedicated volunteers of Village Independent Democrats (VID). She had a tremendous passion for VID and worked very hard to preserving and finding an institution to house the history of club, a sentiment that I also share. A celebration of Kathy’s life will take place Sunday, April 7, from 2 to 6 pm at Park Avenue United Methodist Church, 106 East 86th Street.
