Blaustein Paint and Hardware is relocating to 51 Greenwich Avenue from the location at 305 Bleecker Street where it has been since its founding in 1919. An employee cited a rent increase as the cause of the move. The store carries Benjamin Moore and Ralph Lauren paint brands among others.
Nusraty Afghan Imports (jewelry, antiques, rugs) has relocated to 51 Christopher Street from West 10th Street at Patchin Place. Mr. and Mrs. Nusraty and their 2 children escaped from Kabul in 1979, just prior to the Russian invasion. They have many friends and customers in the neighborhood where they originally set up shop just around the corner on 10th and Bleecker.
