In my February 2017 article in WestView News, I wrote that I was more on my own than I had expected when my friend Anne lost her passport in the Miami airport and could not board the flight to Cuba. Since then, she got a new passport and just returned from Havana (on her own) where she had a great time.
Anne took a copy of the February issue to show the staff of Casa Telefonica where we each stayed; she reports that it made them very happy. The amazing part is that the U.S. travel agency, CubaToDo, which had booked us at Casa and made our plane reservations and other arrangements, honored Anne’s reservations without penalty despite the last-minute cancellation. I bet Anne and I will return, together next time.
