“It is a magnificent idea,” offered one West Villager with a check for $100 for the first concert of Music at St. Veronica’s on Saturday, November 25th at 7:00 p.m.
“Dear folks: You are wonderful and brilliant and WE LOVE YOU!” was followed by a check for $50.
Another letter stated, “As a 50-plus-year resident of the Village, I really enjoy your paper. Keep up the good work!”
Here are some additional words from our readers:
“When I saw [that] you had put back the subscription coupon, I mentioned to my husband, as we were discussing online versus print, ‘Well I’m glad that you have been subscribing to WestView online.’ He looked up and said, ‘No, I thought you have been taking care of that for years now!’ Don’t ask what discussion followed! So here is my check for a two-year subscription and a modest gift for you to continue to give out free copies.”
“All my best to you and the fine people who make WestView Happen.”
I don’t know which gives me a warmer feeling: the words of praise or the checks.
