In the June issue of WVN I wrote that a friend who lives in the West 50’s in Manhattan fell and hit her head in her apartment. Please note this correction: My friend was taken by ambulance to New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center at 525 East 68th Street. … Not the hospital much closer to her apartment which you printed by mistake. At NYP CWMC my friend was kept on a gurney in a hallway for 24 hours because, she was told, there was not a bed available. She met another woman who had been on a gurney for three days… Who was also told she could not be admitted because there was no hospital bed available. The hallways were also crowded with other people on gurneys for whom there was not a hospital bed available.
Thanks for printing the correction
Now every WestView News reader who sees and hears New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center’s constant advertisements on radio, TV and print telling about the glories and wonders of their exceptionally outstanding wonderful hospital care can quietly (seethe in revulsion) vomit at their lies. My friend and the others on gurneys in hallways for days on end do not exactly back-up the claims of their advertisements.
Thanks,
Liz Ryan
Mr. Collier is wrong about the “far right wing;” probably being categorized as one myself, I would tell you that MANY of us right-wingers would LOVE to have Ben Carson as our President! We’re looking for a President that is not ashamed to lead the Country back to “In God We Trust.” Race has nothing to do with it; we’re looking for a man of integrity!
