Urgent Care Center
Dear Brad,
Our local Urgent Care Center on West 13th Street is a welcome replacement for the vanished and vanquished St. Vincent’s, especially on nights and weekends when my doctor’s office is closed. I recently went there for a slashed hand which was expertly stitched and cared for in a subsequent appointment. My wife Judith went to one in Saugerties, NY to be diagnosed and treated for Lyme disease. If you are considering a costly investigation I would be interested to read your outline of how it would be carried out, by whom, over what time period, and at what cost before the bill is enacted.
I also understand your sympathy for the increasing indebtedness of the Hudson River Park Trust, but it seems as if the hurried last minute action by the legislature without public hearings at the local level was ill-considered, leaving the community impacts unconsidered. I believe the legislature itself should step up to the plate and meet its obligation to complete this magnificent park. Your personal response during Hurricane Sandy was very much appreciated.
