Dear Editor,
I very much enjoyed reading the article in last month’s WestView, “It Doesn’t Have To Be Bloody, You Know”: A History Lesson for the 99 percent”, by Catherine Revland. ‘Meaty’ and ‘interesting’ are two adjectives that come to mind.
Ms. Revland writes that she grew up in Fargo, ND. I spent my own childhood in another cold place as well, Helena, MT.
Despite the fact that my own parents were both born in Ireland, I felt a kinship with Ms. Revland and her Norwegian connections since my sister married an American with a Norwegian father.
With so much diversity in the West Village, I guess it’s like Hillary Clinton said, “It Takes A Village”.
Sincerely,
John F. Early
