Charles Street Association Annual Planting

Web Admin 06/06/2019     Letters, Neighborhood

Dear neighbors and members of the Charles Street Association,

Thank you for coming out this past Saturday. You made our annual planting a great success.  This year all our tree-beds were planted and all are looking fantastic.  However, in order to keep them alive, they will need lots of water throughout the hot summer months. Will you kindly help with this task? Kindly ask and remind your building superintendent to water twice a week when it’s not forecast to rain.

MARJORIE DIENSTAG, President of the Charles Street Block Association, gathers three of her young spring planters for a photo with WestView Publisher, George Capsis. Photo courtesy of Marjorie Dienstag.

Our pee-wee planters along with their parents are so proud of their work. Let’s all help their little “masterpieces” stay alive and beautiful!

When seven-year-olds Nalani and Ashlynn, and Rayah, nine, reach George’s age, Charles Street’s tradition will be continuing into and beyond the year 2100… Amazing but possible!

We also want to express our gratitude to Brookfield Properties and Bonberi Bodega for their sponsorship!

—Marjorie Dienstag, CSA President
