Dear Editors:

Now I’ve seen it all. After being falsely arrested, threatened, cursed, and spat upon, I was finally ‘EDP’d’ to Bellevue. This is particularly interesting because, as a diehard community activist, I’m frequently told by cops that the crazy, homeless folks cannot be moved without their permission. Explain how that doesn’t scream, “Please help me?” Clearly, the Sixth Precinct has lost its mind!

Some of you may be familiar with my mom being removed from our rent-controlled apartment at gunpoint. She was then forced into a nursing home by Adult Protective Services. Why hasn’t the City taken similar action against those who clearly can’t take proper care of themselves? Oh that’s right, they don’t have wealthy landlords who “work” with the police and the Housing Court. According to our District Leader (and Ruth Berk’s guardian angel), Arthur Z. Schwartz, just because I’m somewhat of a pain in the ass and I continuously criticize our community policing methods (or lack thereof) doesn’t mean that I should be declared incompetent. In fact, had Mr. Schwartz not been available to speak to the head doctor at Bellevue, I might still be there amongst the truly loony.

But let’s get back to those crooked, crappy coppers. Clearly, I’ll have no choice but to sue them once more. Years ago, we settled for their collusive tactics with my billionaire landlord Lloyd Goldman. (We witnessed the arrest of Mr. Schwartz for removing the illegal surveillance cameras from our front door.) I will never stop complaining or watching out for the business owners and residents of my neighborhood. May I suggest that Lieutenant John Seidel start doing some actual police work instead of blaming the victims who insist on holding the precinct to a higher standard? Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect. Try some of it for the New Year!
