Letters: MTA Seeks Ad Millions – Post Office Prefers Graffiti

In June, WestView suggested that the Post Office sell advertising on its graffiti tattooed collection boxes.

We offered an illustration of how the Post Office might divide ad revenue between itself and the city and give a free ad to the local community.

We offer they can get $750 a side for 4 weeks.

The MTA thinks selling ads on their property is such a good idea that they are now offering their turnstiles—these 4 turnstiles are available for your message for just $25,000 every 4 weeks.

The Post Office told WestView that they had made a “business decision” to stay with graffiti but they won’t tell us which Post Office executive takes credit for the decision.
