Get a library card and borrow e-books. As long as you are physically in New York state, you can sign up online for a card through the Library’s app SimplyE (available on the App Store or Google Play). Once you’ve received your barcode and PIN, explore SimplyE to discover hundreds of thousands of e-books and online resources. Borrow e-audiobooks. Once you have your library card number and PIN, you can download the Overdrive app or the Libby app (available on the App Store or Google Play) on to your device to browse and borrow e-audiobooks.

Read magazines on Flipster. Access over 100 popular magazines on the Flipster app. Visit https://www.nypl.org/collections/articles-databases/flipster to learn more.

Read The New York Times. You can access New York Times articles from the last forty years here: https://www.nypl.org/collections/articles-databases/new-york-times-1980-present

Borrow movies. Use the Overdrive app on your device to browse and borrow a small selection of available movies. Click on “Collections” and then select “Available Now” under Videos to find titles.
