George,

I just read your “Somebody Just Shot My Neighbor” article in the January issue.  As the editor of this paper, the person who wrote this story, someone who has been well informed on numerous occasions about exactly what Lenox Health is, someone as well that has visited the site on multiple occasions and have been a patient here, I simply cannot understand why you continually incorrectly characterize us as an Urgent Care Center over and over. We even advertise in your paper!  We have a legal designation as an Emergency Center, which you continue to ignore and erroneously describe us as an Urgent Care Center. This is completely inappropriate and you are misleading your readers.

Your story is also inaccurate as usual. The patient did not go to Lenox Hill Hospital.

Dear Alex,

We regret the error, and sincerely hope Joy Pape’s article on page 4 lends clarity to those confused by the different types of medical facilities now available in the changed landscape of the West Village.
