I have noticed a trend in TV-speak about which no one informed me. Typical. No one even sent me an email. Or anything.
People being interviewed now say, for whatever reason(s) I have not yet been able to fathom, to begin responding, “So (blah blah)”.
That being the case, I must jump onto the bandwagon for fear of being left behind.
So I’m walking from my apartment to my dental appointment at 14th Street. So on the way I happen to look at a garbage can—alright, alright, poubelle—and what should I see but several discarded copies of this month’s WestView News. Being one of your typical WVN supporters on Charles Street, I “adopted” them. At the dentist’s office, I count 17, each and every one seemingly just off the press, and in pristine condition. Upon leaving, I gave two copies to staff.
So now I have 15 copies. So what do I do with them? Well, I am putting them near our mailboxes.
This being a world where one often expects to get something back for good deedsdone, I want to see my name in next month’s “Hero of the Month”, and/or maybe even Whatever.
So I am waiting.
