On January 8, 2016, a sweet sixteen party was held for Sophia Capsis at the Du Pont Mansion in Old Westbury, Long Island. This mansion was originally built by the Du Pont family in 1916 and serves as a gorgeous example of Neoclassical/ Georgian architecture.
Sophia’s 150 plus mix of friends and family enjoyed sumptuous appetizers, a four-course dinner for the adults and a delectable buffet dinner for the teens. Richie Hart Productions provided the DJ and MC who kept Sophia and her friends dancing all night. A four tier strawberry short cake from Carlo’s Bakery (Cake Boss), enclosed in pink fondant with gold glitter to match the event’s theme, was the featured desert.
Sophia and her Court enjoyed using Du Pont’s spacious bridal suite to change into their party dresses before making a magnificent entry into a packed ballroom. Their entry was announced by the DJ and given a thunderous applause from the guests who were in awe of the beautiful dresses that adorned Sophia and her Court.
