Obamacare
Dear Editor,
Uh-oh! Another problem with Obamacare. This concerns a lot of people.
Ironically, when the major NYC worker health insurance companies–GHI and HIP–tried to privatize after having been nonprofit for years, some of us lobbied intensively against it, and managed to stall the plan. Unfortunately, they quietly got authorization to privatize later. Now we’re hearing that this might be an advantage to some degree. Ha! With for-profit insurance? Some system!
Let’s chuck the for-profit insurance companies and just have Expanded and Improved Medicare for All. Now, as opposed to later.
