Seeking info on research at Bell Labs (now Westbeth) during Manhattan Project of World War II
Dear WestView readers,
I am seeking information about the scientific research that went on in Bell Labs (now Westbeth) when it was one of the sites of the Manhattan Project during World War II. As written documentation about this location is hard to come by, I am hoping that some long-time residents of the neighborhood may be willing to share their knowledge with me for an
upcoming WestView article.

Have you read “The Idea Factory” — the terrific 2011 (?) book that tells the history of Bell Labs — first at the building that became Westbeth, later from its Murray Hill, NJ location? It may have some of what you’re looking for. It’s a terrific read, besides.
